Two Time African Footballer of the Year, Mohammed Salah gave a brace for his club Liverpool FC before heading to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Mo. Salah scored the first and last goal in the match thriving with a 4-2 win against Newcastle on 1st January 2023.
He also gave a mouth watering assist to his Liverpool teammate Coady Gakpo who scored the third goal
Egypt are set to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations for the 26th time making them the team with the highest number of appearances.
The Pharaohs hold the record for the most titles won in Africa’s flagship football competition with seven final triumphs.
With five tournaments under its belt, the most recent being in 2019, Egypt also has the record for most tournament hostings ever.
The Egyptian king, Mohammed Salah would play against Mozambique at 17:00 GMT in Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, Abidjan.
