I will collapse if I don’t win award – Patience Nyarko

2016 VGMA Gospel Song of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year nominee Patience Nyarko has joked she will “collapse” if she fails to bag an award at the VGMAs scheduled to take place 7th May at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The ‘Wafom Kwan’ hit maker said this on Entertainment Capital on Accra100.5FM Saturday April 30.

“If I do not get the award I will collapse. What gospel song has been reigning and enjoying more air play than ‘Wafom Kwan’?” she asked host DJ Premier. “…So who are you going to give the award to, it will be a mistake if it is awarded to anyone else.”

Her competitors for the Gospel Song of the Year award are Supt. Kofi Sarpong (Hour by Hour), Kofi Gyan (Yoboyo), Mary Owusu (Wo Nkwa W? Awurade), Obaapa Christie (Hy?br? Sesafo?) and Nicholas Omane Acheampong (Aporsor).

In the Gospel Artiste of the Year category Patience Nyarko faces stiff competition from Obaapa Christie, Joe Mettle, Nicholas Omane-Acheampong, Supt Kofi Sarpong, and Preachers.
