Welcome to the Exclusive Interviews with Danzor, and Today we had Rejoice Eweama with us in the studio. It was a wonderful time having her around, below are some questions she answered:

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Rejoice Eweama. I am a gospel artiste, Songwriter and vocal coach.

What’s your background?

I am from a christian home. Born into the family of Pastor and Pastor Mrs Eweama.
I have always been a church girl. Lol. I am the last of five children.
I started off in the children’s department and proceeded to teen’s Church. I remember going out for inter-church singing competitions and singing in Church. It was all fun. It was something I did passionately.

Describe a real-life situation that inspired you to do Gospel music?

This may sound funny, but there was no situation that inspired me to do gospel music. There are of course things that inspire me to write good and spirit filled songs(Holy spirit and life generally)
I have always known that I’d do gospel music.
I grew up walking in that light. When the call to do ministry came to me, I was still very young and didn’t understand it but with time,  God took me through the process which I am still learning and walking in.
It’s been an amazing journey with Him, I must say.

What jobs have you done other than being an artiste?

I have taught in a school as a teacher. I also was a receptionist in a firm.

If not gospel music what else would you have loved to do?

It’s gospel, any day, anytime because that’s my place of fulfillment.(purpose)

Do you have any single or album?

I am currently working on my debut single which is to be released soon.(keep your hearts and ears ready.) I have some things cooking up. My album will come much later.

Why music?

Music is not just something I am passionate about, it is also what God has called me to do. So it’s more like saying I didn’t choose it, God orchestrated that before I was formed.

What’s your favourite genre of music?

My favorites are RnB and Rock.

What role does money play in Gospel Music?

Money plays a vital role in gospel music. With money one can easily make things happen. How do I mean? There wouldn’t be issues with making godly music, concerts and other things one has in mind.

Name something you love, and why?

I love to laugh, laugh and laugh. Laughter brings so much peace and healing.

Are you a fan of sports or movies?

I am a fan of sports.. Big one.

What Spiritual gift would you Love to have and why?

First off, God gives these gifts to His children as He sees fits. (I Cor. 12:4)
I am thankful for one(s) He gave me.
If I’d want one, it would be the gift of Faith which is the ability to trust God and encourage others to trust Him NO MATTER the Situation.
Why Faith? It’s easy to tell people to trust God until your faith is tested and it starts to waver.
So the grace to always trust Him is what I pray for.

What is your dream project?

I have quite a number; one is working with some of my favorite American gospel artistes and bringing them down to Nigeria to minister in my music concert(s)

Name three artiste you’d like to work with?

Three artistes I’d love to work with are Tasha Cobbs, Kirk Franklin and Le’Andria Johnson

What wouldn’t you do without?

The Holy spirit

What piece of advice will you give to gospel artistes out there?

Stay true to Gods call on your life and keep being about your destiny.
