The 2016 Billboard Music Awards: And The Nominees (Gospel) Are…

The countdown to The 2016 Billboard Music Awards is ON, as music enthusiasts around the world look out for which of their favorite artiste will go home with the awards they’ve been nominated for on the Sunday, May 22.

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards finalists were announced live on Good Morning America and online Monday, April 11.

Baltimore native and recent 10-time Stellar Award winner Anthony Brown & group therAPY got nods for Top Gospel Artist, Top Gospel Album (Everyday Jesus) and Top Gospel Song (“Worth”).

Motown Gospel recording artist, Brian Courtney Wilson celebrates his first Billboard Music Award nomination in the Top Gospel Song category for the hit song,”Worth Fighting For,” the number 1 single off his current album Worth Fighting For.

Erica Campbell Help 2.0 Erica Campbell garners a Billboard Music Awards nomination in the category of Top Gospel Song, for her genre-bending hit song “I Luh God” (feat. Big Shizz), off of her chart-topping Gospel album Help 2.0.

Jonathan McReynolds garners a Billboard Music Awards nomination in the category of Top Gospel Album, for his chart-topping hit sophomore album, Life Music: Stage Two.

Chris Tomlin was honored today with nominations in every Christian category for the 2016 Billboard Music Awards including Top Christian Artist, Top Christian Album for ADORE: Christmas Songs Of Worship and Top Christian Song for “Good Good Father.” The honors put Tomlin at ten total BBMA nominations with three previous wins.

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards will air Sunday, May 22 at 8 p.m. ET | 7 p.m. CT on ABC.
